Bad news for Western Conference foes: The Portland Trail Blazers have inked versatile forward LaMarcus Aldridge to a five-year contract extension, worth approximately $70 million.
Here’s linkage to his extension: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-aldridgeblazers102109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
That makes two extensions for the Blazers as they’ve locked two studs of their nucleus for the future: Brandon Roy and Aldridge.
I really like LaMarcus’ game, and I think he’ll only get better. He’s got swift post moves, good quickness and agility and his range extends near the 3-point line.
For his career, he averages 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. He’s coming off a year in which he compiled 18.1 ppg, 7,5 rpg and almost 2 assists per game.
Plus, he’s a Texas boy, so you gotta love that.
Him and Roy will be something serious in years to come.
