The accident happens in a warehouse in Moscow filled with glass bottles of vodka and cognac.

After a few seconds of driving slowly around, the driver’s foot seems to slip on the accelerator and he goes hurtling into the bottom of a huge stack of shelves.

Within seconds it has fallen over, covering his fork-lift in crates and smashed bottles, and collapsed onto the next row of shelves, which also collapse.

His colleagues are soon seen scurrying around on top of the wreckage, trying to dig him out.

The driver apparently escaped with minor injuries to one of his legs, but the accident apparently cost the owners of the warehouse around £60,000.

The video is available in at least two places on YouTube, and between them they have received over 300,000 views at the time of writing.

The Minneapolis Police Department is dealing with yet another lawsuit, this time for allegedly using a Taser on a man’s neck while he is seen with his hands on the car and not resisting the officer. The lawsuit comes in a string of others in recent months that have video evidence of alleged police misconduct.

In this lawsuit, Rolando Ruiz is seen just seconds before the incident with his hands on top of the squad car. He appears calm and not resisting arrest. As the police officer approaches, he puts the Taser against his neck and continues using it until he is incapacitated on the ground, screaming.

His attorney, Albert Goins is suing the City of Minneapolis on behalf of Ruiz, asking for $75,000 and discipline against the officer for violating his civil rights. Goins said he hopes to settle out of court, but is willing to take the steps to do so if the city doesn’t cooperate.

WCCO spoke to a Minneapolis police spokesperson who said Chief Tim Dolan hasn’t reviewed the tape and won’t comment on legal matters.

If Florida doesn’t suspend Brandon Spikes, then the SEC office should. Unless the video below has been doctored, this is simply unacceptable from a college football player. Spikes is a great player. He is also an emotional player. And he clearly let his emotions get the best of him when he stuck his hand inside Waushan Ealey’s facemask. My hope is that Florida coach Urban Meyer looks at the video, is horrified, and suspends Spikes for at least one game. Spikes needs a reality check. Look, I know enough former players who have told me that a lot of bad things happen in pileups. But this is right out in the open and everything was caught on camera. This is a player intentionally trying to hurt another player. It’s simple: If coaches are going to be held accountable for their actions and officials are going to be held accountable for their mistakes, then players must be held accountable for what they do. There is no place in the game for something like this.

WRAPUP 1-U.S. Senate healthcare bill includes public option

Although CNN has chosen to report this ‘discovery’ as something that has happened recently, the discovery of this pyramid is not recent news. According to this Wikipedia entry for El Mirador:

Discovery

El Mirador was first discovered in 1926, and was photographed from the air in 1930, but the remote site deep in the jungle had little more attention paid to it until Ian Graham spent some time there making the first map of the area in 1962.^{[citation needed]} A detailed investigation was begun in 1978 with an archaeological project under the direction of Dr. Bruce Dahlin (Catholic University of America) and Dr. Ray Matheny (Brigham Young University). Dahlin’s work focused primarily on the bajo swamps and mapping, while Matheny’s team focused primarily on excavations in the site center and architecture. This project ended in 1983. To the surprise of the archaeologists, it was found that a large amount of construction was not contemporary with the large Maya classic cities in the area, like Tikal and Uaxactun, but rather from centuries earlier in the Pre-Classic era^{[citation needed]} (see: Mesoamerican chronology). Southern Methodist University freshman Ryan Rosenbaum still has a lot of collegiate soccer ahead of him, but he’ll be hard pressed to ever score as memorable a goal as he did Wednesday night.

Up 2-1 against No. 16 Tulsa, SMU was on its heels trying to keep the Hurricanes from setting up the equalizer in the 63rd minute of their Conference USA game. Tulsa controlled possession, but an errant pass found the freshman Rosenbaum, who attempted to clear the ball downfield. Things ended up working out slightly better than expected.

The goal, which was kicked from approximately 95 yards out, ended up being the game winner for SMU, who downed the 16th ranked Hurricanes, 3-2. Rosenbaum’s kick had plenty of wind behind it (check out the American flag blowing behind the goal) and also benefited from a huge bounce that looked like it came more off concrete than grass.

It wasn’t just Rosenbaum’s first college goal, it was his first college shot on goal. The Tulsa game was just the fourth in which the freshman from Washington, D.C., had played. As a defender, he’s not counted on for offense. Maybe he will be now.
