Bad news coming out of Clipper land, and fans may not want to read what comes up next.
No.1 overall draft pick Blake Griffin might miss the first six weeks of the season with a patella stress fracture.
Yahoo! Sports broke the story early Tuesday morning.
Yahoo NBA writer Marc J. Spears reported that Griffin suffered the injury against New Orleans last Friday.
Griffin played in all seven games in the preseason, starting five of them.
He averaged 13.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 28 minutes per game.
He shot 56.9 percent from the floor.
